Day 1 Arusha – Tarangire National Park

In the morning you will be greeted by your transfer driver and transferred to the Arusha Airport. You will board a light aircraft and fly to Kuro airstrip in the Tarangire National Park. After your landing, you will be greeted and taken to the Tarangire Treetops Camp which is located just outside of the park on the eastern boundary. After a late lunch at the camp, you will join an afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle into the Tarangire National Park. After extensive wildlife watching, you return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Tarangire National Park

The entire day is dedicated to explore the Tarangire National Park. You will enjoy a full day of activities including morning and afternoon game drives into the park, a walking safari or night game drive in the vincinity of the camp. Enjoy the abundant wildlife and the beautiful landscapes.

Day 3 Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Transfer to the airstrip. On a scheduled light air transfer, you will reach the Manyara airstrip which is set high above the African Rift Valley. There will be time to enjoy the stunning views of the Lake Manyara below before your driver takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge at the crater’s edge offering an amazing panorama.

Day 4 Ngorongoro Crater

In the early morning, you will be on your way down into the crater for an exciting game drive. With tens of thousands of animals inhabiting the crater floor, excellent sightings are nearly guaranteed. After lunch you will continue your wildlife adventure and return to the lodge in the early afternoon. The rest of the day will be at leisure. Soak in the beautiful views, lean back and unwind.

Day 5 Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park

This morning is perfect for sleeping in and resting. At around noon, you will be taken back to the Manyara airstrip and fly to the Serengeti National Park. Upon landing, your guide will meet you and take you on a game drive en route to the camp. You will arrive at Serengeti Pioneer Camp in time for sundowners, followed by a delicious dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Serengeti National Park

Today you will enjoy a full day of activities and join morning and afternoon game drives in the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Explore the southern Serengeti plains as well as the Seronera Valley where you will often see wildebeests and zebras and with a bit of luck lions and other predators. Besides exiting wildlife encounters, a bush lunch will be a highlight of your stay.

Day 7 – 8 Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will be driven to the airstrip and board your scheduled flight to the northern Serengeti. At the Kogatende airstrip you be welcomed by your guide who will take you to the stunning Sayari Camp close to the banks of the Mara River. Activities offered by the camp include game drives and short walking safaris, an incredible experience. The Mara River is the greatest hurdle for the wildebeests and zebras on their yearly trek and almost guarantees amazing sightings. You will spend two nights at the stylish Sayari Camp.

Day 9 Serengeti National Park – Arusha

After breakfast at the camp, your guide will transfer you to the airstrip. A light air transfer will take you back to the Arusha where your safari adventure started.

  • The number of travellers you will be sharing a vehicle or light aircraft with can vary during the tour. It depends on how many people are booked on the specific flight or at the respective accommodation.
  • Yes there is and unfortunately children under the age of 6 years are not permitted to take part in this trip.
  • You will stay in safari lodges and permanent tented camps (with en-suite bathrooms). Safari lodges are solid buildings, whereas tented camps are permanently set-up, walk-in safari style tents that offer the same service as hotels and lodges.
  • You will fly from one location to another in a light aircraft. Game drives will be done in specially converted open 4×4 safari vehicles that are able to take on the harsh Tanzanian road conditions.
  • Meals are included as stated in the itinerary and a selection of beverages is also included.
  • You will dine at the respective accommodations. For breakfast and lunch, a buffet is usually set up, whereas a three course menu is typically served for dinner.
  • Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements or food allergies and the accommodations will do their outmost to cater for them (only possible with advanced notification).
  • Upon booking you will receive a detailed packing list that will assist you in deciding what to bring.
  • Yes, luggage is restricted to one bag with a maximum size of 25 cm x 30 cm x 62 cm (10″ x 12″ x 24″). Luggage has to be packed in a bag or rucksack (no suitcases can be transported) and cannot weigh more than 15 kg including hand luggage.
  • Yes you should bring along some cash for extras like drinks, snacks, souvenirs and tips.
  • Please make sure that your USD bills that have been printed after 2004 as any earlier dated bills will not be accepted.
  • As a guideline for tipping your guide, you can leave 5-10 USD per traveller per day. Tipping is usually done at the end of your safari. Most lodges and camps have a tip box; you can tip the staff individually, place a tip for all the staff in the box or do both.
  • Although most nationalities can obtain a visa upon arrival in Tanzania, it is the sole responsibility of every traveller to be in possession of all required documents. We therefore strongly suggest that you contact your respective embassy for the latest visa regulations.
  • Officially no vaccinations are required but seeing that Tanzania is located in a yellow fever region, we suggest getting a yellow fever vaccination for your own piece of mind.
  • Despite the fact that Tanzania does not require you to be vaccinated against Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio or Hepatitis A&B, we would strongly advise to have those shots up to date.
  • Malaria is also a concern and we therefore recommend that some precautionary measures are taken. For more detailed information on prophylaxes and the effects and possible side effects, please contact your doctor or travel clinic.
