Severin Safari Camp

Severin Safari Camp is situated in Tsavo West National Park, the biggest game reserve in East Africa, approximately 250 km away from Nairobi as well as from Mombasa. From the entrance gate Mtito Andei, it is approx. 40 km to the camp. As the nearby landing strip can be reached within a 25 minutes drive, Severin Safari Camp is also an ideal destination for fly-in safaris.

Tsavo West National Park offers a unique scenery rich in contrast – vast savannah landscape, wooded flood plains, the famous “red” elephants and Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background.

The camp is not fenced and therefore perfectly integrated into the nature. From the tent as well as from the main area, guests can enjoy fantastic views over the landscape and watch the wildlife passing by as well as resting at the nearby waterhole.

Masai warriors take care of the guest’s personal safety all the time and also represent the balance between human beings and nature. Apart from lions, buffaloes, leopards and numerous bird species, Tsavo hosts Kenya’s biggest elephant population.

Severin Safari Camp is located within 25 hectares of bush land. The main building is covered by a cool makuti roof and accommodates the reception, a small safari boutique, restaurant and bar. Next to the bar is a fireplace where a fire is lit every evening. Enjoy a glass of wine while chatting about the experiences of the day. Furthermore, the camp offers a conference room and the KENBALI Spa.

The camp consists of different accommodation types that are arranged in an S-shape and linked by walkways.

Tents: all 21 octagonal tents are equipped with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, safe and hair dryer. Electricity is available in the tents. The rooms have an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water, shower, separate toilet and bidet. All tents have a private veranda.

Junior Suites: 4 junior suites made of stones are additionally equipped with a separate living room, a sundeck and a private courtyard with outdoor shower. Coffee and tea making facilities, basic beverages from the mini bar and butler service are inclusive.

Suites: 2 spacious suites offer an elevated viewing deck with stunning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the wide savannah. In addition to the junior suites, they provide a corner bath and an own adjoining tent which makes the suites suitable for families.
