Fumba Beach Lodge is situated on the Fumba Peninsula on the Southwest coast of Zanzibar within the Menai Beach conservation area. Driving to the airport of Zanzibar takes about an hour.
The hotel is set on a large private property, away from busy tourist areas. The cooperation with the adjoining village is what makes the lodge special.
The open air restaurant around the swimming pool overlooking the Indian Ocean serves national and international dishes. In the Zanzibar-style “Baobab Spa”, guests can find pure rest and relaxation. Well worth seeing is the Jacuzzi built into a baobab tree.
Accommodation consisting of spacious whitewashed Zanzibari style bungalows with their own verandas is scattered along the beach. 20 deluxe rooms are supplied with en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan, king size bed and mosquito nets. Four luxurious suites are additionally equipped with an outdoor shower and a roof top terrace; they have direct access to the beach.
