This 4 star resort is nestled under shady palm groves directly at the picturesque sandy beach on the Northeast Coast of Zanzibar. It takes about an hour to get to Stone Town and to the airport.
The resort ranges in the upper middleclass and offers an extensive and friendly service. The beautiful garden is lined by numerous palm trees and reveals great views of the blue Indian Ocean every now and then. Many efforts are taken to preserve the resort’s intact surrounding which makes it charming and attractive.
The large swimming pool in close vicinity to the ocean appears like a lagoon. A sun terrace encircles the pool and the pool bar supplies refreshment in form of cool drinks. The adjoining Jahazi Restaurant with views of the sea serves a variety of snacks and pizzas as well as international and authentic Zanzibari dishes. The main restaurant lies elevated on the second floor of the main building and has a panoramic view over the resort and the ocean in the background. It offers a sumptuous breakfast as well as a daily changing buffet in the evenings. The Mawimbi Restaurant at the beachfront specializes in the typical Zanzibari cuisine and seafood. A leisurely beach day can find a perfect end in the Bahari Lounge. Ocean Paradise resort has 98 rooms in total, including 2 junior suites. All rooms are built in an East African style with natural materials. Being round in shape, they remind of traditional African roundhouses. The rooms have their own balconies and are equipped with en-suite bathroom with shower/ WC, air conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, telephone, mosquito nets, mini bar and hair dryer.
