After some health hick-ups after the trip, we all are up and running again.
But getting back to the trip, we could not have asked for better. From where Ludovick picked us up at the airport and dropped us off close to midnight at the hotel, until he again dropped us off at the airport 9 days later, it was an amazing experience.
We believe the trip was, apart from Taher and others who assisted behind the screens, made a huge success by David and Rama. David was just an excellent guide, if not the very best, which did his best to share his knowledge and experience with us, and proved to be an excellent driver who did not mind us calling every now and then to stop for a few photographs. After-hours we engaged in many conversations on quite a number of topics. We all learned a lot, not only from a safari viewpoint but also from each other, and about culture, religion, nature, family life and friendship. Rama, on the other hand, amazed us with his cooking abilities on a single gas stove and we believed he tried to do his very best for us. David warned us a few times that Rama prepared a surprise for us. One day after a discussion on culture differences the previous evening, David and Rama conspired and bought meat next to the road and that evening they treated us with a real Tanzanian meat and pap dinner, eaten traditionally with hands only. We felt very humble to be treated this way. Tanzania Experience must be privileged to have David and Rama as employees.
We saw amazing things during the 7 days, right from the birth of a wildebeest calf to lions catching a warthog and everything in between, all happening in the most beautiful scenery. We will never forget the feeling to be awakened by buffalos feeding just outside your tent in the middle of the night. It was an overload of see and experience, but some 2000 photographs and a few videos will keep our memories alive for ever.
Our sincere thanks to Tanzania Experience for the competition and a wonderful experience, especially our host, David, who is a true ambassador for your company and for Tanzania. We parted friends. But after all Ester, your kind assistance throughout, especially when we had a passport problem, is much appreciated.
Thanks again and keep well.
