October 2025 | Similar Tour: Impressive Tanzania

At first, we were sceptical about travelling in an organised manner as long-time overlanders, but it was unique: ANIMALS, landscape, people, lodges… fantastic! Expensive, yes, but worth every cent!

A cheetah walks along the edge of a road with two young cubs following behind her.

Outstanding planning, including adaptation to our specific wishes, by Elefant Tours/Germany, and the very best implementation in the local conditions by Tanzania-Experiences, represented by Luca and Andrew. And especially the prudent, attentive, and experienced guide and driver Gasto, who confidently steered us more than 1300 km through some adventurous terrain.

A herd of zebras grazes beside a track that winds through the National Park.

While our tours on the continent had previously been characterised by rather mediocre animal sightings, this changed in Tanzania. We saw all of the Big 5 in a short period of time. With the lions in the Serengeti, we lost track; more than 50 animals often passed us within touching distance. And then the cheetah with its almost newborns… Unique! Again and again!

A lioness rests in the shade alongside her four young cubs.

But: Those in charge should definitely invest more in the rare picnic areas, especially the sanitary facilities, some of which are terrible!
