Growing up near the foothills of Kilimanjaro, Daniel’s first job lead him to the Roof of Africa – as porter and later as mountain guide, he climbed the highest mountain in Africa more than 200 times. His heart however had always been in the bush and on safari. Following his dream, Daniel completed his tourism and German language studies and became a safari guide in 2010. While guiding at luxury camps in Tarangire and Serengeti National Park for several months, he discovered his favourite animal: the Giant Verreaux Eagle Owl. This smart predator is only active at night, but Daniel will show you their resting spots during your game drive together. In his free time, Daniel enjoys reading a good book and is a successful cat fish breeder.
