Growing up in Dar es Salaam, Joshua heard stories and read in books about the highest mountain in Africa as a young boy. When he saw the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro with his own eyes for the first time, there was no stopping him: starting out as porter, he quickly moved on to become a qualified trekking guide, taking travellers to the Roof of Africa. Since 1994 he shares his passion for climbing Mt Kilimanjaro with his guests; since 2012, he shares it as part of our team. A family man that he is, he also took his two children to see Uhuru Peak. On each trip, Joshua makes sure to pack warm socks for the cold summit night.
Joshua has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro more than 400 times.
